Paalala sa mga sumasakay ng taxi
Madalas akong mag-taxi at maingat ako. Una tinitignan ko yun mismong taxi, kung kaya pa bang makarating sa bahay namin, kung maayos pa. Tapos titignan ko kagad yun pangalan & plate number. Tapos yun driver, madalas ayoko sa mga sobra matanda kasi antipatiko minsan, mahilig manlamang & malalabo ang mata, nakakanerbyos.
Pag-sakay ko sa taxi, nila-lock ko ang mga pinto. Tapos tine-text ko kay boyfriend yung plate number, lalo kung mag-isa lang akong sumakay.
Nung isang araw, nag-taxi ako pauwi, dumaan kami ng EDSA papuntang North. Papalapit na kami ng Shaw Crossing nang mamataan namin ang mga kabataan sa island, sa mismong ilalim ng MRT. Nagsabi ng driver na siguraduhin ko daw na sarado ang mga pinto. Napansin ko rin na di mapakali ang mga kabataan. Alam n’yo kung bakit?
Nag-aabang sila ng taxing bukas. Kapag hindi alerto ang pasahero & driver, pwede nila kayong salisihan at makukuha ang pera o gamit n’yo.
Kapag bukas ang pinto sa likod, kung san nakaupo ang pasahero, dali dali nila tong bubuksan para hablutin ang cellphone o bag n’yo. Kapag bukas naman ang pinto ng driver, pilit nilang bubuksan yun pinto sa passenger side. Kunyari meron daw sasakay at ituturo nila. Kapag na-distract yun driver at inabot yun pinto para isara, saka naman sasalisi yun mga magnanakaw at bubuksan yun pinto ng driver seat para kunin ang kinita ng driver.
Hindi lang taxi ang binibiktima nila. Pati private cars. Kaya dapat, lagi n’yo ila-lock ang mga pinto ng sasakyan.

nakakairita kasi ang mga jeepney driver na ganyan e, pilit na pinupuno ang jeep. parang sila lang ang may ari ng oras, na sila lang ang may dapat intindihin. bakit? ang mga pasahero ba walang iniintindi? walang hinahabol na oras? di ba hindi?
bakit ganun sila? hindi ba sila pwedeng turuan ng gobyerno? tatakbuhan ang masasagasaan, magagalit sa makulit na pasahero dahil di pa binibigay ang sukli, uubusin ang oras ng mga pasahero sa kakahintay sa wala, ano pa ang ginagawa nila?
di ba nakakainis? bibilisan daw ang pagmamaneho, e paano kung may masagasaan? tatakbo sila? e paano kaya kung wag silang magpuno ng jeep? para hindi nagmamadali, wala pang maaaksidente dahil moderate lang ang pagmamaneho?
dahil ako nararanasan ko ito palagi, nalalate ako parati sa aking eskwelahan dahil sa mga walang paki alam na mga jeepney drivers.

This book has been published years ago. I’d like to post it now because I just knew about it recently. :-) I’m only a simple person, and an occasional reader but when i saw this book on my friend’s room - it catches my attention and i found myself enjoyed reading it for 1 night. :) We are in Pampanga then for a case study and we have to go back to Nueva Ecija the next morning - so I rushed reading it.
ALEXANDER LACSON - the man behind the book
1) Follow traffic rules. Follow the law.
2) Whenever you buy or pay for anything, always ask for an official receipt.
3) Don’t buy smuggled goods. Buy local. Buy Filipino.
4) When you talk to others, especially foreigners speak positively about us and our country.
5) Respect your traffic officer, policeman and soldier.
6) Do not litter. Dispose your garbage properly. Segregate. Recycle. Conserve.
7) Support your church.
8) During elections, do your solemn duty.
9) Pay your employees well.
10) Pay your taxes.
11) Adopt a scholar or a poor child.
12) Be a good parent. Teach your kids to follow the law and love our country.
It’s just a small book - but with a great impact. Little things that we are not aware of can be really a good contribution to our nation. If only Filipinos were this discipline - - then we will have lesser problems and also lesser budgets for small problems - and Philippines will be nicer living on. :) Small things counts.

These last 2 weeks have been hell.
Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today & that was the last straw. Last week, you came home & didn’t even notice I had a new haircut, had cooked your favorite meal & even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers. You ate in 2 minutes, & went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps. You don’t tell me you love me anymore; you don’t want sex or anything that connects us as husband & wife. Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter.
It’s true you & I have been married for 7 years, although a good man is a far cry from what you’ve been. I watch my soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining & griping Too bad that doesn’t work. I DID notice when you got a hair cut last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was ‘You look just like a girl!’ Since my mother raised me not to say anything if you can’t say something nice, I didn’t comment. And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork 7 years ago. About those new silk boxers: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, & I prayed it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed $50 from me that morning.
After all of this, I still loved you & felt we could work it out. So when I hit the lotto for 10 million dollars, I quit my job & bought us 2 tickets to Jamaica But when I got home you were gone.. Everything happens for a reason, I guess.
I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won’t get a dime from me.

Sunday: Finish my HOA Term Paper, Sleep all-day.
Monday: Submission of term paper, and quiz on BU.
Tuesday: Design plate Defense(Green Parking Building), TOA model making.
Wednesday: PHYSICS!
Thursday: Quiz on effing calculus. Submission of AVP for SCL and Submission of Swatch Board for BU and BT
Friday: Submission of TOA finals plate and Sleep on Class day..I think.
Weekends: SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP.
Finals Week: Final Exams on Calculus and Physics only then BATAAN OUTING wohooooo! :)
After Finals: Well-deserved rest! (Vacation time!)
I’m getting lazy, I’m still unproductive at the moment.
